PLANNING & DESIGN

During my time at USC, I’ve worked on a variety of projects and developed a number of skills and interests. I’m particularly interested in the intersection of urban planning, graphic design, and media.  I’d like to use my skills as a visual communicator and storyteller for the betterment of our urban communities, especially those in Southern California.

I’m proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite Environment. I enjoy building layouts in InDesign and crafting graphics in Illustrator. I can also add motion to those graphics with Premiere and After Effects. I’ve been learning SketchUp and ArcGIS Pro and look to keep bolstering those skills.

In terms of my approach to planning, I would like to strive to give voice to those communities and peoples who feel like they’ve been shut out by the bureaucratic and corporate forces that often control the municipal planning machinery. I’m a big believer in systems theory and the way bottom-up thinking can be applied to our urban systems.

The links to the right are selected from various projects that I’ve worked on during my studies. I feel like they are representative of the design skillset I’ve developed at USC.
